I know this has been mentioned over and over again. I had to do it tonight and figured Id jot it down, if, for one else, myself in the future.
- Launch Server Manager.
- Switch to the Features view.
- Click the Add Features link button in blue on the top, right hand side of the page.
- Scroll down to the bottom, and, enable the "Windows PowerShell Integrated Scripting Environment (ISE)" checkbox.
- Click Install.
- Click Close.
The ISE should now be available for sue on our Windows Server 2008 R2 machine now. Now you can access it by clicking Start | All Programs | Accessories | Windows PowerShell | Windows PowerShell ISE. Alternatively, you can simply click start and type the name Windows PowerShell ISE in the search box and it should appear for you to select.
